Little Blue Heron with his banded leg stares out to sea- to see what he can spot.
Great White Egret stealthy stalks and coils her neck before striking the prey with lightening speed.
and here's Mr Brown Pelican with his full barrel belly and extra-long billed- tiring in vain to stretch his neck so he can scratch his back.
be Happy ;) Celebrate the day

Awe, I see my favorite one down on the bottom.
I look forward to spring when the herons and egrets return to my area. But I have never seen a pelican except in photos.
still want to see a little blue and a tri-color, please! :)
Your moments always make me smile! Thanks.
You've brightened my day!

The Little Blue is one of my favorite herons! Gorgeous birds and photos.
Three absolute beauties.
Somebody bring some fish!!
I love all these! I wonder what Mr. Blue is thinking in the first pic? :) And Mr. Pelican need a longer back scratcher, lol. He's got an itchy...
These are really great shots!

Beautiful shots, especially the pelican. Can't wait until the Little Blues and Egrets start breeding here.
Nice shots, scratching one's back with a pelican's beak might be a bit of a challenge.
The heron shot is interesting - it looks like some rubbish around its leg - I dont think its a band in the "bird banding" kind of way.
And who can resist a pelican!
Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.
